Video advertising on the web has now set record highs for the month of June in 2012. According to comScore, more than 180 million U.S. Web users viewed 33 billion pieces of web content during that month in the form of 11 billion ads.
As you might have guessed, Google was at the top with 1.41 billion ads, the Brightroll video network at 1.39 billion, Hulu with 1.33 billion, Adapt.tv with 1.15, and the TubeMogul Video Ad Platform at 1.04.
This means that video advertising on the web is a broader marketplace than just Google’s YouTube, and that video ads reached 53 percent of the total U.S. population an average of 68 times during the month.

By 2017, the revenue from mobile search will nearly triple to $15 billion. Much of this is due to the high cost-per-click rates for different types of mobile search units.
